Our Services Include:
Browns’ Oilfield Service Ltd. Line Locating offers full service locating to meet all of your locating needs. We are equipped to locate almost all types of buried utilities and plant including, but not limited to buried gas lines, power lines, water lines, sewer lines, telecommunication lines, well heads, valve & curb boxes, manhole covers, property pins, and culverts. Chances are if it is buried, we can locate it.
Our Equipment
We use only modern top quality equipment to do the following types of locating.
Active – Direct connection to the target utility or line allowing the most accurate locate possible.
Coupler Induction – Connection to the target line using a clamp or flexible induction instrument to induce current onto the line. Generally used on “live” cables, which cannot be interrupted. This technique is also very accurate.
Passive – Locating without a transmitter device. This technique uses naturally occurring 50/60 Hz energy found on buried pipes and cables to trace them.
Inductive Search & Scanning – This is our specialty. We use the highest frequency equipment available on the market, to scan your work-site for any and all unknown buried plant and utility lines with the greatest accuracy.
Ferromagnetic Locating (Pin Finding) – This technique is used to locate such things as buried wellheads, valve boxes, manhole covers,culverts, property pins, etc.
We will travel anywhere in Western Canada to provide our services. 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
